DOPRAVNÝ ÚRAD
”Specific” category
The “Specific” category is the category of UAS operation where in view of the related risks there is a need for a prior authorisation before the operation. Where one of the requirements laid down in the “open” category is not met, a UAS operator falls into the “specific” category and shall be required to obtain an operational authorisation from the Transport Authority.
When applying for an operational authorisation for the “specific” category the applicant shall submit the following documents:
- Application for an operational authorisation for the “specific” category
- Copy of the appropriate insurance policy cover
- Operations manual with the Concept of Operations (ConOps)
- Risk Analysis
Guidance material for the documentation necessary for the specific category can be found in the section Documents.
For the purpose of risk analysis in the specific category, the applicant must use the risk assessment methodology, known as SORA (Specific Operations Risk Assessment) developed by EASA. As an alternative to the SORA risk assessment, predefined risk assessment (PDRA) may be used.
