Insurance
All UAS operators who must register in accordance with the Article 14 of the EU Regulation 2019/947 must have a valid liability insurance cover during all UAS operations.
The required insurance in respect of liability for third parties is mandated by §13 of the Act on Civil Aviation no. 143/1998, where all aircraft operators must be insured against the damage caused to the third party by aircraft operation.
The insurance requirements for aircraft operators are laid down by the Regulation (EC) No 785/2004.
